Join this young, energetic and fast growing group as they lead large landscape conservation, develop new technologies to support conservation priorities, and create or expand public access throughout the Chesapeake Bay!
Candidates must have at least five to seven years of experience, with proven success in employee and program management. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree, preferably in conservation planning, environmental studies, natural resources, environmental management or similarly related field. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Coordination and overall management of the Chesapeake Conservancy’s conservation, outreach, and restoration programs.
- Leadership of the program department, including management of staff and overseeing the program budget.
- Developing effective, measurable objectives and strategies to deliver mission-based program goals.
- Coordinating and convening multi-jurisdictional, multi-stakeholder coalitions.
- Working with the senior team to raise funds through private foundations, government contracts, and individual donations to support program needs.
- Working as a member of a team of professionals dedicated to the conservation and protection of the Chesapeake Bay’s great rivers and special places.
