Training and Development Specialist | GCORR

Reporting directly to the Team Leader for Cross-Racial and Intercultural Ministries, the Training and Development Specialist will expand and implement a comprehensive training program that will effectively increase knowledge within the church of intercultural differences and competencies. This person will be responsible for creating and delivering trainings tailored for use across annual conferences, local churches, and denominational entities with the goal of equipping all levels of the Church to successfully function in multicultural environments. This person will also be responsible for creating action plans for Church leaders to use in implementing their learnings at the individual and denominational level.

The Training and Development Specialist will additionally work in partnership with GCORR staff, board members and UMC members throughout the country to carry out the mission of GCORR by identifying focused training opportunities as well as developing and disseminating curriculum, materials and online trainings. GCORR Director of Cross-Cultural Leadership

Reporting directly to the General Secretary, the agency’s top official, the Director of Cross-Cultural Leadership will develop and implement a comprehensive training program that will effectively increase knowledge within the church of inter-cultural differences and competencies. This person will be responsible for leading the efforts of the agency in partnership with annual conferences, local churches, and denominational entities to function in multicultural environments and develop action plans for implementing knowledge, awareness and skills at the individual and denominational level.
