Brown-Bag with Dr. Laure Brooks



The College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSOS) Ambassadors are hosting a brown-bag event on with CCJS professor Dr. Laure Brooks. If you're interested in learning about various aspects of policing, this is the event for you!

Dr. Brooks is an instructor and the Director of Undergraduate Studies in the University of Maryland’s Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice. She currently teaches one course on undergraduate research methods for criminology students and one course on policing. Her research has focused on police discretion, police stress and violence against police. Dr. Brooks has written several publications and her most recent publishes include the latest edition of “Police Discretionary Behavior: A Study of Style” and “Police Recruitment and Selection.”
