Paid Summer Internships

The National Park Service Climate Change Response Program and the University of Washington are pleased to announce paid summer internship positions to address climate change in national parks! The George Melendez Wright Initiative for Young Leaders in Climate Change (YLCC) offers twelve positions for the summer of 2016 in national parks and program offices all around the country — from Florida to Alaska, and Washington DC to American Samoa. Applications will be accepted until 12:00 PM PST on January 28, 2016. Eligible students are highly accomplished graduate students and upper-level undergraduates (current juniors and seniors). Applicants must be US citizens or nationals, and be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree program. Students who complete their internship and academic requirements with a high degree of success are subsequently eligible to be hired by the NPS, Fish & Wildlife Service, and Bureau of Land Management without having to compete for jobs.
