The Maryland State Highway Administration (MSHA) has a
contract with the Department of Anthropology, University of Maryland, College
Park. MSHA is looking to fill two, temporary archaeology positions at
$15/hr.
The duties will include metal detecting for an American
Revolution Rochambeau encampment; excavation at Scott’s Plantation (Belvoir) in
Anne Arundel County; and laboratory work in Baltimore. The lab work runs
from the week of March 24 through April 18; the metal detector survey work runs
between April 21-25, and the excavations at Scott’s plantation takes place
between April 28-May 30. The start date and schedule is flexible,
however, at least a 16 hour commitment per week is required for the position.
